01.12.2008 I would like to remember here in this blog the soul singerJames Brown who died on Christmas Day on 2006. The “Godfather of Soul” was 73 and made his debut at a venue. Moreover, the director Spike Lee would have thought of making a film about him and Brown would have approved the use of his own music on the soundtrack. The film should be directed in this year and the project should be overseen by the Oscar-winning producer of A beautiful Mind Brian Grazer.

«Lineablu» e la Liguria.Lineablu in diretta dalla Fiera del mare di Genova su Raiuno intorno alle tre del pomeriggio. Con Donatella Bianchi ci sarà, come di consueto, il professor Giorgio Calabrese, esperto in alimentazione, ed anche un certo Corrado Piccinetti. Si dovrebbe, peraltro, vedere anche l’Aquario di Genova ed, altrettanto di consueto, ci sarà Fabrizio Gatta, questa volta da Noli che dovrebbe essere in provincia di Savona. Da non dimentica – anzi da ricordare – la partecipazione di Giorgio Conte. Vi aggiungo qualcosa della precedente puntata in provincia di Palermo con il mercato di Ballarò?

Secondo un sito – cianciana.info – ci sarà una festa del raccolto con mangiata di ciciri e favi (ceci e fave) venerdì 31 luglio. E c’è anche una foto di tale Casale Bissana (non lo conosco e sembra carino) ed una ricetta particolare, la caponata di carciofi.

01.12.2008– There was a lot of water in Venice. Here’s the “Historic Center of Venice Flooded” as an American newspaper – the New York Times – refers. More or less the same text in the British Guardian and another English newspaper, The Telegraph, gives some advice for travellers. Bbc News uses some photos or titles “Venice is hit by serious flooding” and Cnn “Parts of Venice neck deep in flood water” or AlJazeera “Venice hit by severe flooding”.
