The Midlands and Umbria. How are the Midlands? Surely, the middle of Italy is very nice and it is worth a visit. And the wellingtons in Umbria? Well, I do not know, although I can speak of Collescipoli, near the town of Terni…

And do you know what a Cornish quay and the Roller Team are? The first one with Jamie Oliver inside?!

Camping and motor home. Tim Moore should be very lucky for his family holidays camping and motor home…

09.03.10 – Women’s Day. Dear ladies, how was your Women’s Day?

Caution, cleaners at work.

25.04.09 – Italy and the “Liberation Day”. Today it is a Bank Holiday here in Italy because we Italian recall the “Liberation Day”.

A Partisan woman in Italy. BBC Radio4’s Lara Corner went to Milan to refer about a partisan woman. I do not know a lot about her and cannot assure then about the trueness of the items in the reportage, but here there is the page with a recording. As for Easter, here there is another link in what I write next.

Kent, Canterbury, Rowan Williams and Easter. Some young people took an Easter pilgrimage with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, the Bishop of Dover, the Rt Rev Stephen Venner, and the Bishop of Maidstone, the Rt Rev Graham Cray.

Pilgrimage time in Canterbury. The youths left from their churches around Kent and reached Patrixbourne and then the Canterbury Cathedral (where do they are?).

Netsukes, Japan and museums. Dudmaston and Shropshire

BBC  Asian Network

My profiles in a website with videos,

in another one and in a third one

I have searched netsuke in a page by BBC Asian Network and I have found these pages about a Japanese netsuke for tying pouches,  an ivory netsuke of the Seven Lucky Gods, the netsuke Dragon and Phoenix in a bottle and a collection of Japanese sculptures discovered in Shropshire. But you may also like these video albums of mine about this radio station, the Asian Network or food, Aman Hayer, Angrej Ali and Nachdi De, India and Pakistan.

Ohio. Carolyn Putney, the collector Richard Silverman, the Toledo Museum of Art and netsuke, which should be small toggles. I have read about them in a page with a video about the exhibition “Life in Miniature”. And there is also a video album of mine about Ohio and tourism, holidays.

Dudmaston Estate.
