Simply Red will be on tour in four continents – Asia, Oceania, America and Europe – with dates in London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City and Moscow.

United Kingdom

Simply Red will be on tour in the UK in Scotland, Wales and Britain. In Scotland they will be in Glasgow (Braehead Arena, 24 March, and the Clyde Auditorium, 6 April). In Wales the only city will be Cardiff (Cardiff International Arena, 26 March).

In Britain they will also be in Sheffield (Sheffield Arena, 27 March), Birmingham (LG Arena, 28 March), and along the south coast in Bournemouth (Bournemouth International Centre, 30 March) and Brighton (Brighton Centre, 31 March), but also in the capital, London (the O2 Arena on April, 2 and 3), and in Manchester (M.E.N. Arena, 5 April). Other concerts will be held in Newcastle (Metro Radio Arena, 7 April), and Nottingham (Trent FM Arena, 9 April).

Another “group” of concerts will start on July 22 at the Sandown Park in Esher, UK. Liverpool will be covered three days later at the Liverpool Echo Arena for “Summer Pops”. Then the Newmarket Racecourse follows at Newmarket on July 31 and next month will start on the first day of August in London at the Kenwood House. One day later the Isle of Wight will follow at the Osborne House and August 15 will be another chance for their fans in Newbury for the same Course. They will also be in Northern Ireland in Belfast at the Odyssey Arena on August 22. What about Ireland? Dublin, The O2, on August 21…

Australia and New Zealand

Another continent that Mick Hucknall and the other musicians will visit will be the Oceania. In Australia they will be in Perth (Kings Park & Botanic Garden, 4 and 5 February), Barossa Valley (Peter Lehmann’s Winery, 7 February), Yarra Valley (Rocheford Winery, 8 February), Melbourne (Palais Theater, 10 and 11 February), Canberra (Royal Theatre, 17 February) and Sydney (Sydney Opera House, 18 and 19 February), but also Hunter Valley (Bimbadgen Estate, 21 February) and Brisbane (Sirromet Winery, Mount Cotton). The tour in this continent will go on in New Zealand in Taranaki (Bowl of Brooklands, 13 February), Napier (Church Road Vineyard, 14 February) and Auckland (Villa Maria Estate, 15 February).

Other dates – Europe, Italy and other countries

The date in Thailand will be at the Impact Arena of Bangkok on the 1st of February. They will also be in Northern Italy in Milan (Teatro degli Arcimboldi, 16 and 17 May), in Conegliano Veneto (Palasport, 19 May) and in Sarzana (Stadio Miro Luperi, Tuesday 11 August). The other dates will be in Chile (Vina del Mar Festival and Casino on 26 and 28 February at Vina del Mar, not very far from Valparaiso and Santiago), Belgium (at the Sportspaleis in Antwerp on April 18), Poland, Luxembourg (Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette on April 19), France and other countries. In the Netherlands Mick Hucknall and the other musicians will be in Amsterdam at the Heineken Music Hall on April 22 and in Denmark at the Forum of Horsens two days later. Then they will go more northern to Sweden for a concert at the Annex of Stockholm and to Finland at the Hartwall of Helsinki respectively on April 26 and 28. The last date of April will be in very East Europe at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow on April 30.

Ci dovrebbero essere la porta di Brandeburgo, la prigione della Stasi ed i cosiddetti «memorial dell’Olocausto» e «Checkpoint Charlie». Chiedo a chi c’è stato: come sono? Inoltre, vi ricordo che si possono votare questi luoghi turistici, più sotto per il mio blog. Se non ci sono, aggiungeteli per favore.

Fra gli altri temi anche il progetto europeo Therecord – spero si chiami così – e la grande distribuzione in Europa o gli eventi culturali continentali ed il cosiddetto pedaggio unico autostradale, di cui dovrebbe occuparsi la Commissione europea.

08.10.09 I know that Barack Obama is under pressure for his decisions concerning the health system, but there is another reason to criticise him… Why no reactions by Greenpeace and WWF against Obama and his government that would let Westinghouse go on with Italian policy for – improbable? – nuclear energy? No nuclear energy in Italy is good as in Denmark although Italy is not Denmark… And what about Steven Chu, US energy secretary, who is behaving as a bad politician from this point of view? I am not suggesting that the Republicans are better, but some Democrats are not good.

- Were environmentalists “elated at the election of Barack Obama, and his appointment of the Nobel Prize winning physicist Steven Chu as Energy Secretary”?! Were they really elated?

Furthermore, there was a tv program in Italy that found serious problems in managing nuclear waste in Italy or reports that were not written in a good way… Without considering a ship that was sunk by ‘ndrangheta, the mafia in Calabria, near an Italian coast… Or even a mountain that has been found radioactive in Italy…

Against? I am sure Barack Obama will be against the interest of Westinghouse having to do with the possible – or impossible – nuclear energy project in Italy. Maybe there will be no more nuclear energy produced in Italy…

Green Day. New video, lightly violent,  for the American punk band (the voice and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, the bassist Mike Dirnt and the drummer Tré Cool) from the “Transformers” soundtrack.

Their album’s title is “21st Century Breakdown” and they will begin their new tour in  Seattle at the Key Arena on July, 3rd. One day later they will be in Canada, in Vancouver, at the GM Place, in both cases with the group The Bravery. Among the other countries there are also Portugal with Lisbon on September 28 (Atlantico Pavilion) and Spain with Madrid one day later at the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad and Barcelona on October 1 at the Palau Sant Jordi. The European dates also include Oslo in Norway on October 12 at the Spectrum and  Rotterdam in the Netherlands at the Ahoy. In Belgium they will be in Antwerp on October 17 at the Sportpalais and in the UK in Glasgow two days later at the SECC. The unique Irish date will be in Dublin on October 21 at the O2, while the first Australian date will be in Perth on December 4 at the Burswood Dome. New Zealand will be the last country in Auckland on December 19 at the Vector Arena. Please consider that there are other dates in other cities, but they are a lot and I will write more in the next months…

Vi è piaciuto il disco Glitter and Doom Live di Tom Waits? Sappiate anche che nella classifica 50 Songs di una televisione musicale potrebbero esserci oggi il remix di «Revolver» di Madonna a cura di David Guetta ed i video «Watch The sun Come Up» degli Example e «Morning After Dark» di Timbaland con Nelly Furtado e Soshy. Questo pomeriggio, sabato diciannove dicembre, dopo le cinque.

Stanno trasmettendo immagini stasera, sabato cinque dicembre, da Budapest, Ungheria, per un evento organizzato dalla Commissione europea. Madonna «Veronica Ciccone» avrebbe cantato «Celebration» nel corso dello «Sticky & Sweet Tour» che sarebbe addirittura la serie di concerti con il maggiore incasso nella storia per un cantante solista. Poi mi direte, peraltro – e magari – cosa ne pensate del videoclip di «Celebration» girato il sedici luglio a Milano durante una festa di due stilisti dopo un concerto.

14.07.09 Ebbene sì… La cantante pop Madonna stasera, martedì 14 luglio, allo stadio San Siro di Milano e, fra due giorni, giovedì 16 luglio, allo stadio Friuli di Udine. Non mancherete?

08.07.09 - Semplicemente rosso. I Simply Red suoneranno all’Arena Santa Giuliana di Perugia il 12 luglio; al Teatro D’Annunzio di Pescara il 13 ed all’Esedra di Palazzo Te a Mantova una sera dopo. Ci sarà anche Sarzana allo Stadio Miro Luperi l’11 agosto dopo Karima.

08.07.09 – Lenny Kravitz. Concerto di Lenny Kravitz a piazza Napoleone, a Lucca, sabato 11 luglio dalle 20.30 per il locale Summer Festival. Kravitz tornerà in Italia sabato 25 luglio a Brescia, in piazza Duomo, e domenica 26 al Palalottomatica di Roma. Enzo Avitabile (vedere sotto) sarà, invece, a Summonte, in provincia di Avellino, l’11 luglio dalle 21 per il festival Sentieri mediterranei. Godetevi il concerto – che vi consiglio – perché l’ingresso è libero…

Quanto al Summer Festival, mercoledì 15 luglio toccherà al campano Enzo Avitabile dalle 21.30 con i Bottari e la Scorribanda per un concerto gratuito in piazza Napoleone. Poi, giovedì 16 luglio tocca a James Taylor alle 20.45 preceduto da Amos Lee. Sempre in piazza Napoleone, anche in questo caso, e con due prezzi da trentacinque e cinquanta euro.

Moby e… Sabato 18 luglio sarà la volta di Burt Bacharach dopo Karima alle 20.45. Per assistere a questo spettacolo di piazza Napoleone si dovranno pagare, anche in questo caso, trentacinque o cinquanta euro, mentre costeranno trenta euro l’esibizione di James Morrison ed Amy Macdonald (piazza Napoleone, venerdì 24 luglio alle 21.30) e trentaquattro quello di Moby (sabato 25 luglio alle 21.30, ovviamente in piazza Napoleone). C’è, tuttavia, un concerto gratuito – una Summer Giovani – giovedì 23 luglio alle 21.30 e si chiude, infine, con John Fogerty domenica 26 luglio alle 21.30 (trentadue euro più prevendita ed in piazza Napoleone).

I Radiohead. «In Rainbow», l’ultimo album del gruppo britannico dei Radiohead, offerto in internet in due modalità (offerta libera ed edizione lussuosa e costosa), sarebbe stato, ciò nonostante, molto scaricato da internet in maniera illegale.
Il significativo  download illegale di questo lavoro è stato sostenuto da due società – una di valorizzazione musicale, la «Mcps-Prs», e una di ricerche di mercato, la «Bigchampagne» – che hanno realizzato uno studio dei cui risultati riferisce l’articolo «Flop dei download legali di musica» della versione online del quotidiano Financial Times Deutschland. Secondo Eric Garland, capo della «Bigchampagne», l’apprezzamento per l’album avrebbe comunque regalato al gruppo un’enorme richiesta di biglietti per il tour di quest’anno.

Si tratterebbe, in pratica, di cooperazione internazionale negli ambiti dell’istruzione e della formazione (ricerca, politica e pratiche). Una parentesi. A proposito di pari opportunità, sapete che è stato modificato l’articolo 51 della Costituzione e, secondo il nuovo testo, la Repubblica italiana promuove con appositi provvedimenti le pari opportunità tra donne e uomini?

Eccovi il modulo da compilare entro martedì 7 luglio. Sappiate, comunque, che sono richiesti nove anni di lavoro e che l’invio della domanda avviene tramite posta tradizionale…

29.06.09 Due termini ultimi per l’invio delle domande spostati a venerdì 3 luglio…

28.06.09 Scadenza mercoledì primo luglio per un’esperienza alla Bce riservata a studenti e giovani laureati. Coloro che faranno domanda per trascorrere un periodo di sei mesi alla Banca centrale europea dovranno essere specializzati (o almeno interessati) in revisione contabile finanziaria ed avere conseguito un diploma di master in economia, finanza, business administration o corsi simili. Scritto questo, passiamo alla data di inizio: si lavorerà dal primo settembre (o data successiva). E per i più “professionisti”…

Se lavorate nel settore dell’economia e siete esperti professionisti con un piede (o entrambi) in mondo accademico, banche centrali ed istituti di ricerca,  allora potete fare domanda per una borsa di ricerca Wim Duisenberg. Effettuerete le vostre ricerche in una direzione generale – quella della Ricerca (DG-R) della Bce a Francoforte (Germania) – la quale vi offrirebbe un lavoro per tre-undici mesi l’anno prossimo. Domande da inviare fino a martedì 30 giugno.

Sappiate che l’Ue cerca interpreti di lingua greca per i cosiddetti livelli Ad5 ed Ad7. Possibile partecipare fino a mezzogiorno di martedì 30 giugno (fuso orario del Belgio) e qui ci sono i moduli per la prima e la seconda offerta ed anche la Gazzetta ufficiale dell’Ue e le regole generali.

Chi di voi ha, inoltre, 12 anni di esperienza lavorativa, può anche fare domanda per un posto di capo unità alla Cfca di Vigo, Spagna (Agenzia comunitaria di controllo della pesca). Qui le istruzioni per la compilazione della domanda. Ben quindici anni sono, invece, necessari per l’incarico di direttore dell’Ecdc di Stoccolma (Svezia), il Centro europeo per la prevenzione ed il controllo delle malattie.

26.06.09 Lauree specialistiche in Medicina, Biologia, Chimica e discipline simili per un lavoro da esperti esterni all’Efsa di Parma (Autorità europea per la sicurezza alimentare)… Necessario presentare la domanda entro lunedì 29 giugno.

Altre offerte di lavoro “europee”, questa volta all’Easa di Colonia. L’agenzia si trova in Germania e, per i molti che non lo sapessero, è l’Agenzia europea per la sicurezza aerea; quanto al termine ultimo per l’invio delle domande è, invece, quello di lunedì 22 giugno. Potete presentare domanda tramite posta tradizionale per un lavoro di addetto al supporto generale (studi in amministrazione privata o pubblica o che riguardano l’Europa, Giurisprudenza e conoscenza dei regolamenti della Commissione europea per il settore aereo).

In atto anche le selezioni per addetti alle autorizzazioni per operatori di Paesi terzi (ci si dovrà coordinare con la direzione Finanza e business dell’Easa ed è un titolo preferenziale la conoscenza dei regolamenti europei sulla sicurezza aerea e le cosiddette Sarps – Pratiche standard e raccomandate – o il regolamento della Commissione europea 2042/2003 e l’allegato 8 alla convenzione Icao).

Il settore degli operatori offre anche un’altra possibilità per team leader addetto alle autorizzazioni per operatori di Paesi terzi (richiesti nove anni di lavoro). Un’esperienza lavorativa di tale durata è richiesta anche  per un futuro team leader di standardizzazione FSTD (strumenti di addestramento alla simulazione di volo), mentre sono sufficienti tre anni per un esperto in commissioni di revisione della manutenzione. Il Parco del Circeo con sede a Sabaudia, in provincia di Latina, cerca, inoltre, un geometra e qui c’è la domanda di partecipazione.

Martedì 23 giugno fate, invece, attenzione alla scadenza per l’invio della domanda – mezzogiorno di Bruxelles – per interpreti per conferenze di lingua polacca (qui il modo di presentare la domanda, le regole generali e la Gazzetta ufficiale dell’Unione europea). 21.06.09 Estesi fino a mercoledì 24 giugno i termini per la presentazione delle domande a due selezioni,  una per un posto dal nome complicato (team leader d’approvazione per l’organizzazione della produzione) ed una per addetto all’approvazione per l’organizzazione della produzione. La sede di lavoro sarà l’Easa – Agenzia europea per la sicurezza aerea – della città tedesca di Colonia.

Se avete, peraltro, ben quindici anni di esperienza lavorativa (ed otto nel settore della proprietà intellettuale avendo da fare, ad esempio, con marchi, disegni e modelli) potreste eventualmente candidarvi per tre posti di presidente della commissione di ricorso dell’Oami di Alicante (Spagna). Preferibilmente dovrete possedere una laurea in Giurisprudenza o conoscere l’inglese ed il tedesco e l’ente, beninteso, è il cosiddetto Ufficio per l’armonizzazione nel mercato interno ed è chiamato anche Ohim. Qui l’avviso con tutti i requisiti in dettaglio e la modulistica, ma vi prego di fare attenzione ai tempi perché bisogna inviare la domanda entro mezzogiorno – naturalmente ora locale – del 19 giugno.

Giovedì 18 giugno ultimo giorno, invece, per partecipare alle selezioni di un assistente per l’analisi economica e di un esperto nella valutazione dell’impatto e del rischio all’Easa di Colonia.

Dopo le ultime offerte per le istituzioni europee e di altro tipo (ristorazione e Sicilia), dopo altre offerte del 10 febbraio, 11 e 22 aprile, eccovi alcune ultimissime dal mondo del lavoro d’Europa. Il Jrc di Ispra (provincia di Varese) cerca un borsista esperto in reperimento di cosiddetti valori erratici nei dati commerciali. Il Joint Research Centre – un istituto che si occupa della protezione dei cittadini – si rivolge, in questo caso, soprattutto a studenti laureati in Statistica, econometria o  metodsi quantitativi o laureati con dottorato in Statistica con cinque anni di lavoro alle spalle. Scadenza il 14 giugno e la durata della borsa è di 36 mesi.

Fino a domenica 21 giugno si può, invece, concorrere per un’altra borsa dello stesso ente destinata ad un esperto informatico in analisi della popolazione ittica, biogeografia e tracciabilità dei pesci e dei prodotti ittici. L’azione in cui è inserita questa ricerca è quella della Gestione delle zone di pesca e rafforzamento (Fishreg).

Il borsista si occuperà, in pratica, dell’applicazione FishPopTrace, finanziata dal cosiddetto Fp7 (Settimo programma quadro) , e dovrà possedere competenze rispettivamente sul linguaggio Sql, il cosiddetto J2ee (Java,  Jsp, Jdbc ed il linguaggio xml) o le applicazioni Google Maps e Google Earth così come, eventualmente, su programmi/linguaggi/applicazioni più specifici come Ant, Postgresql (ed anche PostGIS), Jsf, Struts, Hibernate, Jpa e Tomcat/Weblogic/Glassfish/Jboss Shell. Richiesti in alternativa o un dottorato o cinque anni di ricerca nel settore e lavoro.

Fino a lunedì 15 giugno si possono, invece, presentare una domanda per e-mail ed altre tramite posta tradizionale. La stessa agenzia cerca, tramite la propria sede di Catania Cagliari, due commessi per un negozio di Messina (diploma di maturità, contratto a tempo determinato e disponibilità per tempo pieno/part time e fine settimana/domeniche). Richiesti anche un commesso part time di categoria protetta per Siracusa, con diploma e disponibile per i turni di lavoro del fine settimana.

A Siracusa ricercato anche un commesso part time (3 giorni alla settimana) per il settore dei surgelati che, oltre al diploma, abbia anche l’attestato Haccp e sia disponibile a lavorare anche in orari differenti e sia residente a Siracusa o in cittadine vicine.

Ma passiamo a Catania con la ricerca di un responsabile commerciale a tempo pieno per una ditta che si occupa di noleggio e vendita di moduli prefabbricati (4-5 anni di esperienza nel settore, inglese e programmi informatici, contratto a tempo determinato).
